The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Franco Milazzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Mendes's late challenge caught a VINEIRO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Mendes. It was beautiful to see VINEIRO FC's Juan Eder in action when he in the 19th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Felippe Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Milazzo in the 23rd minute of the match. During the 30th minute of the match Jairo Mendes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jairo Mendes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jairo Mendes hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Marcelo Costas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felippe Couto. Sangue nos Zóio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sergio Loi struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Felippe Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VINEIRO FC. Sergio Loi kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Fernandes. Felippe Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Milazzo in the 37th minute of play. Felippe Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Felippe Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Macerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half VINEIRO FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Macerio to strike the kick off in the second half. Juan Eder was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. VINEIRO FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Neto during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sangue nos Zóio's Manuel Neto got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Marcelo Costas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felippe Couto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Dito Secco fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sangue nos Zóio's protests and gave Dito Secco a yellow card for diving instead. When Reynaldo Merexildo came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the VINEIRO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Merexildo couldn't finish the play. Omar Macerio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Felippe Couto made a huge save. Felippe Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Milazzo in the 72nd minute of the match. When Omar Macerio came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the VINEIRO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Macerio couldn't finish the play. Manuel Neto hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Merexildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sangue nos Zóio booed when VINEIRO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Eder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sangue nos Zóio's Dito Secco got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, VINEIRO FC's Franco Milazzo got a free kick in the 80th minute. Manuel Neto hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Felippe Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Milazzo in the 90th minute of the match. The VINEIRO FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
