In the 2nd minute, Inge Falck made a precise shot to the right of Zbigniew Giertych. Pogoń Staszów's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Mattias Bredberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zbigniew Giertych was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Artetas artilleri's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arkadiusz Biegun was slow to take the kick. During this time Pogoń Staszów's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Arkadiusz Biegun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Artetas artilleri's Jens-Ove Nyman did a great save. Zbigniew Giertych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Pankracy Adamus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jens-Ove Nyman made a huge save. Pankracy Adamus's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jens-Ove Nyman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zbigniew Giertych came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Artetas artilleri's Inge Falck. But to his dismay, Inge Falck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 31st minute, Igor Henryk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens-Ove Nyman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 39th minute, Boguslaw Jekot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match Artetas artilleri got a corner. Pogoń Staszów's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernst Wästerberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Artetas artilleri's corner Ernst Wästerberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zbigniew Giertych quite easily take care of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pankracy Adamus to strike the kick off in the second half. Jens-Ove Nyman came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Pogoń Staszów's Fryderyk Ferfecki. But to his dismay, Fryderyk Ferfecki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. With a little luck, Pogoń Staszów's Zbigniew Giertych got control of the ball when Nils-Erik Ambjörnsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Pogoń Staszów getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Igor Henryk hit a great ball. The long shot by Hans Myr in the 57th minute really tested Zbigniew Giertych's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 59th minute Inge Falck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbigniew Giertych saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radomir Watarz during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Radomir Watarz kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Mattias Bredberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the match, Nils-Erik Ambjörnsson notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Pogoń Staszów's Zbigniew Giertych. Zbigniew Giertych was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Artetas artilleri getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Mattias Bredberg hit a great ball. Jens-Ove Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Ferfecki in the 74th minute of play. Mattias Bredberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Zbigniew Giertych made a huge save. Zbigniew Giertych was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Inge Falck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 78 minute of play. Artetas artilleri's Jens-Ove Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Henryk in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Henryk in the 85th minute of play forced Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inge Falck in the 87th minute of play forced Pogoń Staszów's goalkeeper Zbigniew Giertych to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pankracy Adamus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ove Nyman having to interfere. Zbigniew Giertych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inge Falck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 3-5 became the score in the 91st minute when Mattias Bredberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
