The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, C.A Vientos Huracanados's Prudencio Fortun got a free kick in the 6th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilton Proença got free with Hugo Chumo in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, C.A Vientos Huracanados's Hugo Chumo got control of the ball when Wilton Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, C.A Vientos Huracanados's Prudencio Fortun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Paulo de Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Aristides Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Henrique Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Real Mente Burro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís Fernando Diniz in the 56th minute. Afonsinho Maciel was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristides Federigo during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of C.A Vientos Huracanados booed when Real Mente Burro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ezequiel Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hugo Chumo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes C.A Vientos Huracanados got a freekick which was hit by Hector Gonsalve. Ezequiel Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ezequiel Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Real Mente Burro supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C.A Vientos Huracanados's performance. The match ended with a win for C.A Vientos Huracanados.
