Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Felipe Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Felipe Barreto scored 1-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gianluigi Orange, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Viriato Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The audience was convinced that Jardel Cabezon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. After 95 played minutes Coice de Mula got a freekick which was hit by Slavko Mojsovski. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
