Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Naike to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland got a free kick in the 54th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match.
