The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kian MacGregor during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Scotland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kian MacGregor to maneuver through the defense. Mitxel Manzardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mitxel Manzardo to make the kick off. Mitxel Manzardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Higgins having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Ashton Nelson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scotland and the NatSNil players grew even worse after the yellow card.
