Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bai Kun Yang kicked off to start the match. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Marques in the 9th minute of play. Voyager Soccer Team's Waldemar Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldemar Quintal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Quintal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dênis Marques in the 24th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldemar Quintal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waldemar Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 39th minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. Waldemar Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Voyager Soccer Team's goalkeeper Waldemar Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. In the 57th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Voyager Soccer Team's Waldemar Quintal managed to reach the ball for a save. Waldemar Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 61st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Meesters in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldemar Quintal saved Voyager Soccer Team from getting behind. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Belu in the 68th minute of play. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Voyager Soccer Team's Alun Harmon was substituted for Alfred Owsiak. 75 minutes into the match, Emil Belu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Belu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Belu in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Voyager Soccer Team's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Quintal came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathijn Doctor kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Belu in the 84th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldemar Quintal made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Waldemar Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldemar Quintal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, Voyager Soccer Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alun Harmon to maneuver through the defense. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Waldemar Quintal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
