The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Melchor Garoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Osvaldo Leobardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luis Mejía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Totin Nuñez in the 8th minute of play. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Melchor Garoa sped through AC Rangers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Osvaldo Leobardo. Melchor Garoa came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Osvaldo Leobardo could save by the left post. With his leg Osvaldo Leobardo managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Melchor Garoa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Ivan Nisio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Fabricio Quexal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Leobardo made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Emiliano Mikelar sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in AC Rangers's zone, Melchor Garoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Leobardo came out of the goal and Melchor Garoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AC Rangers's Osvaldo Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Mikelar in the 30th minute of play. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after AC Rangers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ovidio Jokin took the corner. After taking down the ball on ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s corner Ovidio Jokin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Osvaldo Leobardo quite easily take care of the ball. Osvaldo Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Nisio in the 35th minute of play. Luis Mejía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Ilazki in the 36th minute of the match. Luis Mejía showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Ler, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Luis Mejía played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Ilazki in the 40th minute of play. Ivan Nisio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Osvaldo Leobardo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luis Mejía took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leukothoe Sakelaris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Leukothoe Sakelaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Mejía saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Leobardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Nisio in the 45th minute. After 46 played minutes AC Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Leukothoe Sakelaris. Ivan Nisio took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Leobardo. Osvaldo Leobardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.

Luis Mejía was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Guido Ler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guido Ler really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Totin Nuñez charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Totin Nuñez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to AC Rangers getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Totin Nuñez hit a great ball. Osvaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Nisio, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Rangers's goalkeeper Osvaldo Leobardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leukothoe Sakelaris in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Mejía saved ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Semih Recai in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Leobardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osvaldo Leobardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Semih Recai's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Semih Recai in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldo Leobardo saved AC Rangers from getting behind. Osvaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Semih Recai, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Tomáš Kožený received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Osvaldo Leobardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, AC Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Tomáš Kožený came free, but Osvaldo Leobardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel.
