In the 9th minute of the match Jenipapo SC got a corner. AC Rangers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardinho Pena ran over to the corner to take the kick. Karl Pilgren made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Emiliano Aznaro sent off a good shot on target. Vinicio Junior took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Leobardo. Osvaldo Leobardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a little luck, Jenipapo SC's Karl Pilgren got control of the ball when Leukothoe Sakelaris tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Ricardinho Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leukothoe Sakelaris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Karl Pilgren made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Ricardinho Pena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Osvaldo Leobardo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 35 minutes, Ricardinho Pena made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. AC Rangers's Osvaldo Leobardo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leukothoe Sakelaris in the 40th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Pilgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Ilazki, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Ezequiel Ilazki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Karl Pilgren made a huge save. Karl Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Ilazki in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Emiliano Aznaro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Jenipapo SC's Maurício Arósio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 47 minutes into the game, Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldo Leobardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.

Jenipapo SC's Maurício Arósio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Osvaldo Leobardo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 58 minutes, Aníbal Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenipapo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aníbal Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Humberto Beturian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Junior in the 62nd minute of play forced AC Rangers's goalkeeper Osvaldo Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardinho Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Leobardo having to interfere. Ricardinho Pena's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Osvaldo Leobardo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jenipapo SC's Karl Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Aznaro in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Ezequiel Ilazki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Pilgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Osvaldo Leobardo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Osvaldo Leobardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinicio Junior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jenipapo SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
