Lionel-Andrés Messi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Eloy Gabirel made a huge save. In the 18th minute of the match Defensores de Lombroso got a corner. Alvi Boton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godfredo Gau ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Teofilo Esdras heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Apolo Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvi Boton's Eloy Gabirel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Pirro in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Celso Sauveur made a precise shot to the right of Eloy Gabirel. Alvi Boton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ubaldo Gelacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Pirro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Gabirel having to interfere. The Defensores de Lombroso supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alvi Boton's performance. The match ended with a win for Alvi Boton.
