After 5 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Rufo. Dante Fernendo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sander Roeles in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Team Pogba's Máximo Čapo got a free kick in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Team Pogba's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Curcio came free, but Deng Qiang Ke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saturnino Curcio scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Deng Qiang Ke, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Alejandro Rufo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Deng Qiang Ke. Team Pogba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejandro Rufo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Team Pogba's Matty De Ligt got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Sander Roeles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Fernendo having to make a save. Sander Roeles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Dante Fernendo made a huge save. Denis Bonadona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Constantino Nuno in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Team Pogba's Doctor Sick. With a little luck, Sporting de Gijón's Dante Fernendo got control of the ball when Sander Roeles tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Sander Roeles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Fernendo. Sander Roeles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Sander Roeles might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Fernendo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sander Roeles ran back to his position shaking his head. Sander Roeles came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Fernendo could save by the left post. Team Pogba's Deng Qiang Ke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Curcio in the 37th minute of play. Alejandro Rufo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Dante Fernendo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sander Roeles in the 42nd minute. Max Budge struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Dante Fernendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Pogba. Deng Qiang Ke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Curcio in the 47th minute of the match.

Matias Bilintx kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match, Denis Bonadona got a very nice opportunity to score, but Deng Qiang Ke was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Team Pogba's Deng Qiang Ke got control of the ball when Diego Maradona tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sander Roeles in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Fernendo saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. Team Pogba made a substitution. Bill Pearch replaced Louie Mulford. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Venancio Emesto replaced Denis Bonadona. Constantino Nuno made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mario Zanabria however managed to control. In the 72nd minute, Max Budge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Team Pogba's Max Budge got a free kick in the 74th minute. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Sander Roeles put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Fernendo. Sporting de Gijón's Atilano Feo was substituted for Constantino Nuno. In the 88th minute, one of Sporting de Gijón:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting de Gijón. Sporting de Gijón:s Dante Fernendo showed great skill when he stopped Sander Roeles:s penalty. 94 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Martin came free, but Dante Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
