The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Lordi got free with Stephan Wielens in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joris Zoetmulder took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pontus Nordström. Santa Margarita's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Pontus Nordström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. Santa Margarita's Wendell Davids was substituted for Witomir Pisarczyk. Santa Margarita's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Vicente Maciel scored to the left of an out of position Pontus Nordström, making the score, 4-3. A collision led to De Horsterboeren SV getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Alessandro Barchiesi hit a great ball. De Horsterboeren SV's Stephan Wielens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Icardi in the 87th minute of play. After some careless play in the De Horsterboeren SV defense, Mauro Icardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stephan Wielens. The De Horsterboeren SV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stephan Wielens should have stopped the shot. Mauro Icardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Stephan Wielens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Mauro Icardi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stephan Wielens was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-3. Pontus Nordström was a little too slow when Anthony Terpstra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 6-4. For all the effort they put into the match, the De Horsterboeren SV players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santa Margarita.
