Yao Xiang Xis short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Casper Claes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Per Viklund came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Belgium had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
