Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Wennerlund in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute of play forced Commander Crowe's goalkeeper Edvard Fagerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Edvard Fagerberg made a huge save. Commander Crowe's Leif Holmgren was substituted for Nicasio Gotzon. With a little luck, Commander Crowe's Edvard Fagerberg got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee showed Gijsbert ter Kruimer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Roy Andreasson fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Commander Crowe's protests and gave Roy Andreasson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Roy Andreasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Paijo Prima notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
