Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hector Santiago started the match with the kick off. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gomez Urrea having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Porvenir's Arvo Joa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Gomez Urrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arvo Joa's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Porvenir's Gomez Urrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 27th minute of play. Gomez Urrea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gomez Urrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes Porvenir's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Porvenir's Gomez Urrea managed to reach the ball for a save. The corner led Netherlands's Wim Wilmes to fire away a dangerous shot which Gomez Urrea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Arvo Joa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Gomez Urrea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Porvenir's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Gomez Urrea made a huge save. In the 59th minute of the match, Wim Wilmes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gomez Urrea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Porvenir made a substitution. Garrido Bolide replaced Camacho Molledo. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Gomez Urrea was a little too slow when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 5-1. After a rather tough play, Porvenir's Suscal Calleja got a free kick in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 79th minute of play forced Porvenir's goalkeeper Gomez Urrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hector Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Santiago in the 87th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Porvenir's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
