Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Antal Valentin took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Boros Benedek got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 12th minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alexander Bird showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balazs Lajos, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 23 minutes of play, Mayo's Alex Burton made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 27 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hungary's Balazs Lajos in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mayo's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, William Symons managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mayo's supporters rose to their feet, but William Symons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mayo's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Bird came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Pagomari to make the kick off. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Alexander Bird made a huge save. Alexander Bird was a little too slow when Antal Valentin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 2-2. Alex Burton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Bird read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Pagomari, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Pagomari's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Alexander Bird made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Burton in the 69th minute of play. Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Bird. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. Mayo made a substitution. Nathanial Pitts replaced Glyn Smith. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Steve Oliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Steve Oliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Mayo's Steve Oliver got a free kick in the 75th minute. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Alexander Bird didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 minutes of play, Mayo's Des Gill made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 84 in the game by Major Barna from a close distance when the talented Alexander Bird managed to make a qualified save. Mayo's players were relieved. Alexander Bird made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Burton in the 94th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Samuel Farmer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Farmer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Many of Hungary's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hungary may have spent more time on the ball, but Mayo were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
