Cris Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robin Steckamp got free with Casper Claes in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Belgium booed when Wambalamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacek Przybyciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cris Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Sabbe in the 24th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cris Courtois having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 29th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Cris Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robin Steckamp got free with Casper Claes in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cris Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Dervaux in the 40th minute of the match. Wambalamba FC's Cris Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 46th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Cris Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Casper Claes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Cris Courtois in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cris Courtois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 64th minute. Helge Lindgren hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Cris Courtois made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juarês Donato in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Vanderstraeten in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cris Courtois, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 78th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cris Courtois. The goal made the score 2-1. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Cris Courtois made a huge save. Cris Courtois made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cris Courtois firmly grabbed it by the left post. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Steckamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wambalamba FC made a substitution.
