An unexpectedly hard shot by Llorienzo Lecanda in the 17th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petroleros de Cabimas.

Denmark's Olav Graversen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Chris Nygaard in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Atarratze Solis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Denmark booed when Petroleros de Cabimas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Valdeboys didn't get a good kick on the ball.
