The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Collen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U21 Netherlands reached it. After a rather tough play, U21 Netherlands's Dries Bogaard got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joško Van Landschoot in the 57th minute of play forced U21 Netherlands's goalkeeper Dennis Beerthuis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute of the match, Robert Collen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gabriel Van Dyck saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The U21 Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when U21 Netherlands's Robert Collen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. U21 Netherlands played a much better game than U21 Belgium and deserved their victory. The U21 Belgium players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
