Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marinus Doren ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Netherlands's Marinus Doren to fire away a dangerous shot which Manuel Campens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tadej Pogačar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mbaka Mbolu in the 14th minute of the match. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leopold Van den Paenhuysen took the corner. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Mbaka Mbolu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadej Pogačar. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadej Pogačar should have stopped the shot. Tadej Pogačar came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Mbaka Mbolu. But to his dismay, Mbaka Mbolu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Manuel Campens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Heesen in the 32nd minute of play. Belgium's Manuel Campens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Heesen in the 34th minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Nick Heesen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Manuel Campens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Mbaka Mbolu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Mbaka Mbolu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadej Pogačar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Netherlands's Tadej Pogačar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Mbaka Mbolu came free, but Tadej Pogačar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Guus Harmsen made the kick off in the second half. Tadej Pogačar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mbaka Mbolu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leopold Van den Paenhuysen took the corner. After taking down the ball on Belgium's corner Leopold Van den Paenhuysen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tadej Pogačar quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Nick Heesen got a free kick in the 66th minute. Tadej Pogačar came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Mbaka Mbolu. But to his dismay, Mbaka Mbolu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Mbaka Mbolu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's Marco Hegeman was substituted for Robin Boelens. The throw-in from Corné van Basten in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgium's Joel Wigghers. The audience was convinced that Mbaka Mbolu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadej Pogačar was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 81st minute, Mbaka Mbolu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Netherlands's Japke Rinzema was substituted for Marinus Doren. Corné van Basten got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marco Hegeman. When Belgium's Mbaka Mbolu in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. Belgium's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
