Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Netherlands's Guus Harmsen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Frenkie de Jong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Dauwen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leo Dauwen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frenkie de Jong in the 10th minute of play. In the 10th minute Frenkie de Jong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Dauwen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Bastiaan Nys. In the 23rd minute of the match, Kamiel Docx tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tadej Pogačar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Netherlands's Tadej Pogačar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamiel Docx in the 24th minute of play. Tadej Pogačar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kamiel Docx's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Leo Dauwen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frenkie de Jong went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Corné van Basten made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Belgium's Bastiaan Nys. When Geert-Jan Oosters fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgium's protests and gave Geert-Jan Oosters a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geert-Jan Oosters didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Guus Harmsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guus Harmsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kamiel Docx to strike the kick off in the second half. Leo Dauwen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frenkie de Jong in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Geert-Jan Oosters got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Guus Harmsen made a precise shot to the right of Leo Dauwen. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 58th minute, Guus Harmsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Dauwen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When Frenkie de Jong came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frenkie de Jong couldn't finish the play. Frenkie de Jong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadej Pogačar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamiel Docx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadej Pogačar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamiel Docx, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bastiaan Nys during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Bastiaan Nys. Netherlands made a substitution. Marco Hegeman replaced Robin Boelens. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Bastiaan Nys got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Isidoor Goons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frenkie de Jong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Leo Dauwen made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Frenkie de Jong slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leo Dauwen. That made the score 0-6 after 96 minutes of play. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
