When Harriet Basabe came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Conjunto Paisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harriet Basabe couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Xacintu Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of Héctor Gaviria. Conjunto Paisa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Héctor Gaviria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xacintu Ribeiro went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the match, Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Héctor Gaviria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Conjunto Paisa's Héctor Gaviria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xacintu Ribeiro in the 30th minute of play. After some careless play in the Conjunto Paisa defense, Xacintu Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Héctor Gaviria. The Conjunto Paisa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Héctor Gaviria should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Conjunto Paisa booed when Atlético Bucaramanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yulian Tzambov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Conjunto Paisa's goal looked a bit too open when Xacintu Ribeiro came free, but Héctor Gaviria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrik Øskan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harriet Basabe in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xacintu Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atlético Bucaramanga's Patrik Øskan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Angel in the 54th minute of play. Xacintu Ribeiro had several of the Conjunto Paisa's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Héctor Gaviria as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tomás Angel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Harriet Basabe came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Conjunto Paisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harriet Basabe couldn't finish the play. After 67 played minutes Atlético Bucaramanga got a freekick which was hit by Adam Czubski. Xacintu Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Héctor Gaviria made a huge save. Xacintu Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Héctor Gaviria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Hernando Harroyo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Héctor Gaviria. Hernando Harroyo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The Atlético Bucaramanga players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
