Héctor Gaviria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Seyfettin Sadak's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Harriet Basabe hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Ilkay Gündoğan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Héctor Gaviria. Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Tomás Angel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cyprian Zielinski, 1-0. In the 18th minute, Harriet Basabe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cyprian Zielinski. The goal made the score 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fix Zubiaur got free with Cyprian Zielinski in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the game, Tomás Angel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cyprian Zielinski. Tomás Angel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Cyprian Zielinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fix Zubiaur in the 31st minute. Cyprian Zielinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Angel in the 37th minute of play. Héctor Gaviria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilkay Gündoğan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Angel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Abreu in the 94th minute of play forced R.B Leipzig's goalkeeper Cyprian Zielinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conjunto Paisa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
