Jozef Kloots kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Aristides Caldas kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Christoffer Blomqvist dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Chuan Cintron, 2-1. Angelo Prior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar De León in the 34th minute of play. Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoffer Blomqvist in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match MILLONARIOS FC got a corner. Atlético Municipal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rafael Jauregui ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led MILLONARIOS FC's Jozef Kloots to fire away a dangerous shot which Chuan Cintron despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. MILLONARIOS FC's Rafael Jauregui was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Chuan Cintron in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Atlético Municipal getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cordero Gipils hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christoffer Blomqvist to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Christoffer Blomqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. MILLONARIOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christoffer Blomqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chuan Cintron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andoni Viguri got free with Angelo Prior in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Prior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordero Gipils in the 57th minute of the match. Angelo Prior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Viguri in the 60th minute of play. Gau Resto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Angelo Prior made a huge save. Chuan Cintron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Errazquin's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, MILLONARIOS FC's Baladi Ribalta got a free kick in the 88th minute. Chuan Cintron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jozef Kloots, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 minutes of play, MILLONARIOS FC's Federico Errazquin made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chuan Cintron was left in no man's land by his defense there! MILLONARIOS FC's Juan Corredor was substituted for Christoffer Blomqvist. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atlético Municipal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MILLONARIOS FC.
