Velasco Rollan struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Hias Nüssli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sociedad Anónima. In the 18th minute, Velasco Rollan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hias Nüssli. The goal made the score 2-0. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Leo Allemann hit a great ball. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pero Barrutia in the 26th minute of the match. Sociedad Anónima's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niva Bruna in the 27th minute. The corner led Sociedad Anónima's Niva Bruna to fire away a dangerous shot which Hias Nüssli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hias Nüssli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Sociedad Anónima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zavior Negral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Velasco Rollan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sociedad Anónima's supporters rose to their feet, but Velasco Rollan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hias Nüssli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Allemann hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Switzerland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Velasco Rollan scored to the left of an out of position Hias Nüssli, making the score, 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pero Barrutia was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pero Barrutia in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 54th minute, Velasco Rollan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velasco Rollan in the 58th minute of play.
