An unexpectedly hard shot by Sreten Popovic in the 3rd minute of play forced Crisólia FBPA's goalkeeper Juan Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Crisólia FBPA's Paulinho Maia suffered a sore thigh after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Zivko Cvetkovic charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zivko Cvetkovic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juan Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sreten Popovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borjan Golubovic took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Matorin. Juan Matorin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 31 minutes into the game, Serbia's Sreten Popovic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Matorin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 34 minutes into the match, Crisólia FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Sreten Popovic came free, but Juan Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Sreten Popovic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Juan Matorin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sreten Popovic in the 46th minute of play. Borjan Golubovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Matorin having to interfere.

53 minutes into the match, Crisólia FBPA's goalkeeper Juan Matorin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sreten Popovic. In the last second Juan Matorin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Sreten Popovic in the 57thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Serbia's Borjan Golubovic got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Crisólia FBPA's zone, Borjan Golubovic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Matorin came out of the goal and Borjan Golubovic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borjan Golubovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jovan Borisov fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serbia's protests and gave Jovan Borisov a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Crisólia FBPA booed when Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jovan Borisov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dênis Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Crisólia FBPA's Juan Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladeta Jovic in the 76th minute of play. Ramiro Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Miljan Gavrilovic hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Sreten Popovic missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 95 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Juan Matorin right hand side. Serbia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
