But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Inge couldn't finish the play. Edward Vanderstraeten kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Laurens Vandamme hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Adrián Czornomaz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Casper Claes. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. 23 minutes into the match, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Nilton Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilton Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Jaizki to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 31st minute of play forced Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goalkeeper Nilton Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Ronaldinho Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nilton Lira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Mikolas in the 56th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Yves Dervaux kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nilton Lira. That made the score 2-2 in the 59 minute of play. Nilton Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Dervaux, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yves Dervaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nilton Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. made a substitution. Hortêncio Montenegro replaced Adrián Czornomaz. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. made a substitution. Aaron Hegoi replaced Nereo Inge. After a rather tough play, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Cirilo Martxot got a free kick in the 91st minute. Hortêncio Montenegro took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Claes. Casper Claes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Belgium for a fine match.
