Nemesio Jaen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Romania's zone, 洪雄光 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carol Stinga came out of the goal and 洪雄光 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Romania! In the 77th minute Raul Jaunti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carol Stinga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 played minutes Romania got a freekick which was hit by Anton Stinga. Carol Stinga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarías March, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Romania were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after AKDmicos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rasvan Cristescu took the corner. Romania's Anton Stinga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nemesio Jaen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarías March in the 96th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carol Stinga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zacarías March went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Octavian Vaduva took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Nemesio Jaen to make any attempt to save it. The AKDmicos FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Romania were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
