With a couple of smart ball manuevers Concetto De Nardis in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. Alvaro Sanna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camille Baume in the 5th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Concetto Rucci got free with Maxime Durand in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Concetto De Nardis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Maxime Durand made a huge save. In the 13th minute Ferdinando Michelini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Concetto De Nardis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Sporting Club Sicilia getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Yu Yi Fei hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferdinando Michelini in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remy Dupuy in the 27th minute of play forced Sporting Club Sicilia's goalkeeper Alvaro Sanna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. France were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Sporting Club Sicilia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Barbier took the corner. France's David Barbier was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alvaro Sanna in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Maxime Durand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Concetto De Nardis's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Peletier in the 37th minute of play forced Sporting Club Sicilia's goalkeeper Alvaro Sanna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Maxime Durand managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Sporting Club Sicilia's Concetto Rucci fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Concetto De Nardis made a kick off. The supporters of Sporting Club Sicilia booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxence Durand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Concetto De Nardis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Frank Peletier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 66 minutes, Frank Peletier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the France and the Sporting Club Sicilia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Frank Peletier hit a great ball. Sporting Club Sicilia made a substitution. Dino Coletti replaced Emiliano Pizziolo. In the 67th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Peletier to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Sanna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camille Baume, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Concetto De Nardis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Concetto Rucci made a precise shot to the right of Maxime Durand. France's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 84th minute, Frank Peletier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Concetto De Nardis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. France's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
