Krisztián Sydbøge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Bosak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Martin Bosak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ede Edelényi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Gudelj to maneuver through the defense.
