Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toon Kest in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nichifor Nicolae prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nichifor Nicolae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Wollans, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Emerald's Gabriel Vermeşan got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Vermeşan might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinando Andreoli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Vermeşan ran back to his position shaking his head. Ferdinando Andreoli made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Gabriel Vermeşan sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Vermeşan got free with Ferdinando Andreoli in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute Michael Wollans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichifor Nicolae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Toon Kest came free, but Nichifor Nicolae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Vermeşan in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinando Andreoli saved Café DE PLOEG from getting behind. Gabriel Vermeşan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdinando Andreoli having to make a save. Ferdinando Andreoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Vermeşan in the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Café DE PLOEG's goalkeeper Ferdinando Andreoli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Vermeşan. Bram Cockx made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Emerald's Ferdinand Condrea. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Vermeşan got free with Ferdinando Andreoli in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Bram Cockx in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Emerald's Ferdinand Condrea. Thanks to some nice moves Gabriel Vermeşan could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Ferdinando Andreoli however easily saved by the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Louis Vischkens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Vermeşan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Café DE PLOEG booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionel Găvănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinando Andreoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Vermeşan in the 62nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Café DE PLOEG's Nichifor Nicolae threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michael Wollans, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ionel Găvănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ferdinando Andreoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68thth minute of the game Michael Wollans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ferdinando Andreoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Găvănescu in the 80th minute of play. Nichifor Nicolae made an important save on a dangerous shot by Louis Vischkens in the 81st minute. Ferdinando Andreoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Găvănescu in the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Ionel Găvănescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinando Andreoli. Café DE PLOEG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionel Găvănescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Emerald's Flavius Stoicea was substituted for Ionel Găvănescu. After having played for 94 minutes, Flavius Stoicea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emerald's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavius Stoicea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Café DE PLOEG's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Vermeşan came free, but Ferdinando Andreoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
