Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enrico Tassotti started the match with the kick off. Flavio Pasquarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Yves Fresnais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Royal PSG's Bacary Filloux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Firmani in the 4th minute of play. Maurice Chalaye hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute Maurice Chalaye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Pasquarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Pasquarelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Yves Fresnais in the 20th minute of play. After 27 minutes Gonzo Style f.c's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rodrigo Onfroy who took care of the corner kick. Royal PSG's Jean-Yves Fresnais was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Flavio Pasquarelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fausto Tocci hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Jean-Yves Fresnais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Jean-Yves Fresnais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal PSG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Yves Fresnais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute Achille Luciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bacary Filloux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Royal PSG getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Alphonse Auer hit a great ball. Flavio Pasquarelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean-Yves Fresnais in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Augusto Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bacary Filloux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean-Yves Fresnais got free with Flavio Pasquarelli in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 55 minutes, Jean-Yves Fresnais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal PSG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Yves Fresnais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gonzo Style f.c's Enrico Tassotti got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes, Royal PSG's Alphonse Auer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Pasquarelli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Royal PSG reached it. Maurice Chalaye scored 1-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Pasquarelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 minutes, Gustave Szymczak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Royal PSG and the Gonzo Style f.c players grew even worse after the yellow card. Flavio Pasquarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Chalaye, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Maurice Chalaye cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Flavio Pasquarelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Gonzo Style f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Chalaye came free, but Flavio Pasquarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Alphonse Auer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Pasquarelli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jean-Yves Fresnais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Pasquarelli having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gonzo Style f.c's zone, Maurice Chalaye stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Pasquarelli came out of the goal and Maurice Chalaye tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jean-Yves Fresnais came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Royal PSG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Yves Fresnais couldn't finish the play. Maurice Chalaye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Flavio Pasquarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonzo Style f.c's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
