Enrico Tassotti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tudor Urdăreanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Eusebiu Godeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cormoranii -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebiu Godeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enrico Tassotti charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrico Tassotti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Enrico Tassotti hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes, Manuel Negru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cormoranii -MM- and the Gonzo Style f.c players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Negru kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Tudor Urdăreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Luciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Cormoranii -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Fischer. The audience was convinced that Manuel Negru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Federico Marsilio was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Augusto Vieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tudor Urdăreanu. Cormoranii -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Vieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Cormoranii -MM- booed when Gonzo Style f.c was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Vieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Gonzo Style f.c were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrico Tassotti to make the kick off. Federico Marsilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Godeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Federico Marsilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Negru's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. A collision led to Gonzo Style f.c getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alberto Firmani hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gonzo Style f.c's zone, Eusebiu Godeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Marsilio came out of the goal and Eusebiu Godeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Firmani kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match Nicolae Drăgoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Federico Marsilio skillfully saved the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Gonzo Style f.c's Augusto Vieri tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cormoranii -MM-'s Nicolae Drăgoi got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Alberto Firmani got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Achille Luciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Marsilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Negru in the 93rd minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Cormoranii -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Negru. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gonzo Style f.c walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
