The audience was convinced that Rosario Martel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tartalo Delatorre was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Atlético Grau Piura's attentive Alan Varela managed to snatch the ball when Elvio Vásquez made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the game, Hamza Emin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tartalo Delatorre. Hamza Emin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
