After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Wellington Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Austra VFC's goalkeeper Hudson Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Belgium's Sander Dermaut to fire away a dangerous shot which Hudson Gaúcho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Yves Dervaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Hudson Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hudson Gaúcho. Hudson Gaúcho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Siebe Michiels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hudson Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Pires in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Austra VFC got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Damião. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Wellington Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hudson Gaúcho saved Austra VFC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hudson Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Austra VFC's Hudson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 38th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Belgium eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
