An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of play forced PICCOLE PESTI's goalkeeper Pitt Frøne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When PICCOLE PESTI's Otto Fesik in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 26th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pitt Frøne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Righi in the 28th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pitt Frøne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pitt Frøne quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wim Wilmes in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pitt Frøne saved PICCOLE PESTI from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

PICCOLE PESTI were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Donato Dossena took the corner. Carmine Righi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. In the 56th minute, David Eikelkamp made a precise shot to the right of Pitt Frøne. PICCOLE PESTI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 60th minute Otto Fesik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philippe Philippe during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pitt Frøne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. PICCOLE PESTI's Emanuele Melis was substituted for Otto Fesik. Biagio Volta hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmine Righi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute of the match PICCOLE PESTI got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Donato Dossena ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brian Johnson during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to PICCOLE PESTI getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Brian Johnson hit a great ball. Wim Wilmes scored 1-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pitt Frøne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Netherlands played a much better game than PICCOLE PESTI and deserved their victory. The PICCOLE PESTI players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
