The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertram Svenningsen in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruud Wollans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruud Wollans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 14th minute of the match. Lugano Futbol's Zacarias Pere got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Alvarez in the 26th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Blas Ursino in the 27 minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Bertram Svenningsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 31 minutes, Luciano Chico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lugano Futbol and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Denmark booed when Lugano Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Chico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Chris Nygaard sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lugano Futbol's Ruud Wollans didn't even have to move. Chris Nygaard hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The supporters of Denmark booed when Lugano Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Ursino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lugano Futbol's zone, Bertram Svenningsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruud Wollans came out of the goal and Bertram Svenningsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Alvarez in the 66th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Herauso, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 played minutes Lugano Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Lluciano. 71 minutes into the match, Lugano Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Ruud Wollans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Bendtsen kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Blas Ursino in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. When Bertram Svenningsen came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertram Svenningsen couldn't finish the play.
