Ab Eefting kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 44thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Germany's keeper Tommy Kahn was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Remond Struik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malte Schiele's late challenge caught a Beetje Moe Re-United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger de Zaaijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Beetje Moe Re-United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Germany were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
