After a defensive mix-up in Paralia Athens's zone, Frank Peletier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codrin Beraru came out of the goal and Frank Peletier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. France's Henry Robiquet managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cosmin Potocianu in the 9 minute of the game. After 13 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Bornescu. Paralia Athens's Codrin Beraru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Baume in the 17th minute of play. Maxime Durand stood somewhat misplaced when Panait Marghescu came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the referee blew the final whistle, Paralia Athens could leave the field as winners, despite France having more of the ball for most of the match.
