Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Portugal's Viriato Moura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Joinville City - FSCMZ booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a free kick in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Geovanildo Luis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Viriato Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Geovanildo Luis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Ronaldinho Gaucho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Gaucho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Caetano Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haji Sarap was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 30 minutes of play, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Geovanildo Luis took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Geovanildo Luis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Geovanildo Luis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Tomás Reis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fabricio Andrade, made in the 41st minute of the game. Geovanildo Luis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 42nd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Joinville City - FSCMZ booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Amorim was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Geovanildo Luis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geovanildo Luis really showed his touch with that goal: 5-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovanildo Luis to make the kick off. Graciano Coutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Haji Sarap made a huge save. When Portugal's Viriato Moura in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Sungurhan Kuter kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Geovanildo Luis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovanildo Luis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Portugal's Graciano Coutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haji Sarap narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Viriato Moura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Haji Sarap, 5-3. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Adhemar Santos was substituted for Geovanildo Luis. In the 72nd minute, Graciano Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Henrique Camargo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilson Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Joinville City - FSCMZ reached it. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adhemar Santos's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio de Andrade in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 85th minute of play. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Haji Sarap in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 87th minute, Adhemar Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-3. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Horácio Abraão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Cássio de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Cássio de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 97 minutes, Haji Sarap successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
