Shao Kun Yuan scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pär Are, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Montechiarugolo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim de Barros came free, but Pär Are reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Luís Braga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pär Are was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 37 minutes in the game Arthur Guerra did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joaquim de Barros. Pär Are made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 41st minute of play. Pär Are took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half VB-Team were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim de Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniele Bevilacqua in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armindo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniele Bevilacqua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montechiarugolo AFC's Pär Are proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Montechiarugolo AFC from getting a goal against them. Ciro Di Renzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pär Are made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Braga in the 87th minute. Ciro Di Renzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Armindo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cacá 赵云乐 lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched VB-Team eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
