An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Paveliuc in the 4th minute of play forced Symba's goalkeeper Anis Achour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th match minute, Greenboys FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zsolt Füzesi to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Greenboys FC's goalkeeper Danilo Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Greenboys FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Gus Wootton scored to the left of an out of position Danilo Vaz, making the score, 1-0. In the 17th minute, Symba's Khaled Chérif dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Symba's Anis Achour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Paveliuc in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Greenboys FC booed when Symba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khaled Chérif didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Zsolt Füzesi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Symba's Anis Achour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute Róbert Kutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anis Achour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Paveliuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Anis Achour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Vaz made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Gus Wootton sent off a good shot on target. Gus Wootton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo Vaz having to make a save. 40 minutes into the match, Symba's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Kutas came free, but Anis Achour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Péter Földes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anis Achour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zsolt Füzesi in the 48th minute of play. After some careless play in the Symba defense, Zsolt Füzesi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anis Achour. The Symba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anis Achour should have stopped the shot. Symba made a substitution. Sílvio Veiga replaced Khaled Chérif. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zsolt Füzesi to strike the kick off in the second half. Danilo Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gus Wootton's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 61st minute, Gus Wootton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 65 played minutes, Symba's Imed Akid shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Danilo Vaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Symba reached it. Danilo Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Gus Wootton sped through Greenboys FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danilo Vaz. After 74 played minutes Symba got a freekick which was hit by Imed Akid. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Paveliuc could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Anis Achour however easily saved by the left post. Greenboys FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christer Bergstedt in the 78th minute. Renátó Tar's late challenge caught a Symba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renátó Tar helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Greenboys FC got a freekick which was hit by Renátó Tar. 82 minutes into the game, Imed Akid was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Symba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greenboys FC the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Imed Akid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anis Achour made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Paveliuc in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Greenboys FC's Zsolt Füzesi got a free kick in the 88th minute. When Gus Wootton came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Symba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gus Wootton couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Greenboys FC's Róbert Kutas got a free kick in the 94th minute. Symba were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Greenboys FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomás San Juan took the corner. Symba's Gus Wootton was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Danilo Vaz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Anis Achour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zsolt Füzesi, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Greenboys FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christer Bergstedt in the 99th minute. Symba's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
