When Malin Sivchev fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ЦСКА's protests and gave Malin Sivchev a yellow card for diving instead. Christer Bergstedt shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Zsolt Füzesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Paveliuc got free with Anzhelo Gerushin in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Róbert Kutas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute of the match, Bence Borsos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anzhelo Gerushin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Felix Paveliuc took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anzhelo Gerushin. Anzhelo Gerushin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Venko Loginov kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Greenboys FC had played much better football throughout.
