Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Keld Paulsen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Miro Ivanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 54 minutes Denmark's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adrian Victorero who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Denmark defense, Hristofor Stanilov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. The Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keld Paulsen should have stopped the shot. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Victorero in the 61st minute of play. Miro Ivanov scored 7-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Marin Dică notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute of the match Adrian Victorero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen skillfully saved the ball.
