Yassine Bounou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Maksymilian Prus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 27th minute BK Falcon were awarded a corner. Hubert Kvist went to the cornerflag to take it. Egbert Nijveldt thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Arnout Reekers, a very annoying self made goal in the 27th minute which led to 1-1. After 31 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yassine Bounou was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yassine Bounou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saad Weeks to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Charles Vestlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of BK Falcon booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Yassine Bounou threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Yassine Bounou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Bennvar Bennebjerg came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yassine Bounou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 94th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Yassine Bounou made a huge save. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
