Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Drago. Lost Boys Sports Academy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludwig Modig in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Lost Boys Sports Academy got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Merih Demiral ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Lost Boys Sports Academy's Merih Demiral to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ivan Drago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Drago having to interfere. Tobias Stenquist kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Drago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepe Argento in the 66th minute of play. Pepe Argento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. 72 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Pepe Argento came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Eikelkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ivan Drago made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Pepe Argento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pepe Argento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 83 minutes into the game, Lost Boys Sports Academy's Johan Sellberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johan Sellberg in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. The Lost Boys Sports Academy fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Lost Boys Sports Academy's Johan Sellberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lost Boys Sports Academy fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netherlands had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
