The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yerko Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Castravet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Chile's Yerko Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Scobioalã in the 15th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play U21 Chile's Chupan Hoyo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Chupan Hoyo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Emil Scobioalã had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yerko Courtois. U21 Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Scobioalã was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 38th match minute, U21 Moldova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Bold to maneuver through the defense. U21 Moldova's Strong Junel was substituted for Ruslan Cepoi. In the 54th minute, Boris Castravet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Moldova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With a little luck, U21 Chile's Yerko Courtois got control of the ball when Boris Castravet tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's Adolf Eichmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dragos Enicov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sandu Musteatãs short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Yerko Courtois to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cristopher Damian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dragos Enicov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over U21 Moldova could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than U21 Chile throughout the match.
