In the 5th minute Boris Castravet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Huilipan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Castravet came free, but Rodrigo Huilipan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, U21 Moldova's Dragos Enicov got control of the ball when Victor Hugo Painevilu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Hugo Painevilu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Dragos Enicov 6 minutes into the match. Sandu Musteatã kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Hugo Painevilu got free with Dragos Enicov in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20thth minute of the game Mesut Özil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Chile's Rodrigo Huilipan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match U21 Moldova got a corner. U21 Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eduardo Camavinga ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rodrigo Huilipan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boris Castravet's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The supporters of U21 Chile booed when U21 Moldova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruslan Cepoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Cristopher Damian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragos Enicov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantin Stegaru kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. U21 Moldova made a substitution. Strong Junel replaced Ruslan Cepoi. The supporters of U21 Chile booed when U21 Moldova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantin Stegaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mesut Özil made a kick off. Rodrigo Huilipan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mesut Özil in the 58th minute. U21 Chile made a substitution. Romeo Bermúdez replaced Marcel Wassermayer. 65 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goal looked a bit too open when George Baraboi came free, but Rodrigo Huilipan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to U21 Chile getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Marcelino Calzada hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Adolf Eichmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dragos Enicov was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 73rd minute Emil Scobioalã shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Huilipan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Hugo Painevilu in the 76th minute of play forced U21 Moldova's goalkeeper Dragos Enicov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Hugo Painevilu in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dragos Enicov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adolf Eichmann took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dragos Enicov. Dragos Enicov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Rodrigo Huilipan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Scobioalã in the 82nd minute of play. U21 Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when George Baraboi scored to the left of an out of position Rodrigo Huilipan, making the score, 4-2. 90 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Musteatã came free, but Rodrigo Huilipan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolf Eichmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dragos Enicov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. U21 Chile's Rodrigo Huilipan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Scobioalã in the 93rd minute of play. U21 Chile were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of U21 Moldova for a fine match.
