In the 34th minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliseo Cefero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Italy booed when Falconara Albanese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Loi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zaccheo Andolina in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliseo Cefero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliseo Cefero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 45th minute of play forced Falconara Albanese's goalkeeper Eliseo Cefero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Cefero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Siricio Liotta went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The Falconara Albanese players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italy were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Goren made a kick off. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Goren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Kaarlo Menem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dráuzio Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Italy's Gianpaolo Mascari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliseo Cefero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Zaccheo Andolina could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Eliseo Cefero however easily saved by the left post. 91 minutes into the game, Sigfrido Auletta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Eliseo Cefero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. A collision led to Falconara Albanese getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Fulgencio Quico hit a great ball. Italy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
