Maxime Durand was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Pavel Balc capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pavel Balc really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 20th minute of the match FC Buciumii got a corner. France's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olavi Vilo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cătălin Elchev got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maxime Durand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pavel Balc received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maxime Durand came out and tried to block the shot, but Pavel Balc slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 25th minute. The FC Buciumii fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when FC Buciumii's Pavel Balc looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 38 minutes into the match, Pavel Balc dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maxime Durand, 5-0. Cătălin Elchev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Buciumii's Pavel Balc suffered a sprained foot after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 43 minutes, Quentin Beaux mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the France and the FC Buciumii players grew even worse after the yellow card. Quentin Beaux hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. FC Buciumii made a substitution. With a little luck, France's Maxime Durand got control of the ball when Cristinel Gheară tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Frank Peletier made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, FC Buciumii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Nițisor to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristinel Gheară in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of France:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Buciumii:s goal. France:s Maxime Durand showed great skill when he stopped Mugur Nițisor:s penalty. Cristinel Gheară might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxime Durand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristinel Gheară ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute, Olavi Vilo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Buciumii fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. When Cristinel Gheară came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the FC Buciumii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristinel Gheară couldn't finish the play. FC Buciumii made a substitution. Dumitru Ghițulescu replaced Cătălin Elchev. In the 72nd minute, Olavi Vilo made a precise shot to the right of Maxime Durand. France's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristinel Gheară in the 79th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxime Durand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristinel Gheară went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Olavi Vilo came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 played minutes FC Buciumii got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Ghițulescu. If Olavi Vilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliberto Pueblo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Alexis Bruneau hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Alexis Bruneau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dumitru Ghițulescu came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the FC Buciumii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumitru Ghițulescu couldn't finish the play. FC Buciumii's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
